America’s most notorious white trash renegade returns with his fourth studio full length "American Underdog", this time Big B ventures out on a musical expedition into new frontiers. Raw and honest like always, Big B's brand of outlaw hip-hop has returned with a few new tricks this time around in what will go down as one of the Sub Noize heavyweight's best albums. Digging deep into his creativity Big B goes toe to toe with Scott Russo from alt-rockers Unwritten Law on the melodic rock of "Sinner", while Johnny Richter and Brad X from rip-hop icons Kottonmouth Kings drop in on "Drink More" and "Supastar". Whether he's confronting personal demons, touting his perseverance in the rap game or taking it back to his days of street hustling, Big B has evolved musically from the 6"7, 330 pound rhyme spitter to one of the most diverse artists in the underground who can flip your wig in an instant. Big B has been on the grind working his way up within the underground scene since he emerged as a solo artist with "High Class White Trash" in 2004. Taking a cue from the roots punk-rock, Big B earned each and every fan the old fashioned way touring non-stop opening with everyone from Tech N9ne on the sold out Strange Noize Tour to Kottonmouth Kings, ICP, Blaze Ya' Dead Homie, (Hed)p.e, and Shaggy 2 Dope. In between breaks from the road Big B recorded a pair of instant underground classics with 2005’s “White Trash Renegade” and 2007's "More To Hate", which produced the fan favorite anthem "White Trash Life". Everyone likes to root for the underdog and hope that they pull off the upset of the century. It’s the appeal of watching someone come out of left field with a belly full of fire and desire that the top dogs will never have and using it to catapult to the top. crawling through the ranks of the underground, this 330 pound hip-hop outlaw from Las Vegas is ready to kick some ass and take names as the one true “American Underdog”.

Pete Yorn

Alternative Singer/Songwriter:
New Jersey native Pete Yorn took a rather unique route to singer/songwriter acclaim, gaining his first big break by providing the score to a Farrelly Brothers film. Having graduated from Syracuse University several years prior, the 26 year-old pulled up stakes in 2000 and relocated to Los Angeles, CA, where he began writing music for film and television. Yorn was recruited to score Me, Myself, & Irene, a Farrelly Brothers movie starring Jim Carrey. One of his own pop/rock numbers, "Strange Condition," appeared on the film's soundtrack and was subsequently released as a single, where it fared well on the modern rock charts and increased public demand for Yorn's songwriting. After netting a record contract with Columbia, Yorn returned to the studio and co-produced his debut album, 2001's Musicforthemorningafter, with Brad Wood (Placebo, the Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair) and R. Walt Vincent. The following spring, he returned with the earnest Day I Forgot, which featured several contributions from R.E.M.'s Peter Buck. For his third studio LP, Yorn enlisted collaborators such as the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and the Dixie Chicks' Martie Maguire and Natalie Maines to shape the sound of Nightcrawler. Back and Fourth was released in 2009, prefaced by the lead single "Don't Wanna Cry."

Dredg

Rock / Neo Prog:
Hailing from Los Gatos, CA, Dredg began sharpening their aggro-metal sound in the early '90s. Comprised of Gavin Hayes (vocals/guitar), Mark Engles (guitar), Drew Roulette (bass), and Dino Campanella (drums), the group was performing in area clubs before they'd even graduated from high school. Dredg self-released the Orph EP in 1997. The ambitious Leitmotif followed two years late, and it was reissued with the band's 2001 signing to Interscope. El Cielo, Dredg's proper Interscope debut, arrived in autumn 2002, and Deftones producer Terry Date was at the helm for their 2005 effort Catch Without Arms. They released the concert album Live at the Fillmore a year later. Their new album "The Pariah,The Parrot, The Delusion" was just released to stellar reviews.

What happens when four exceedingly different and distinct personalities come together to create heated, inspired music? Well, as CKY have shown over their ten plus years as a rock and roll force, it can lead to intelligent, provoking riffs and lyrics, meticulously detailed production combined with magical multi-textured melodies and heady drumming. But, “it also creates tension, tension that must be let off,” says the band’s singer/guitarist, Deron Miller. Not too long ago, ten years of tension caught up with the West Chester, Pennsylvania outfit. Producer/guitarist Chad I Ginsburg says the band “ended up physically beating each other up at once on their tour bus,” CKY decided to take an extended timeout. “We needed a break, more than just the kind of break you think,” explained Miller. A break leaving drummer Jess Margera and bassist Matt Deis wondering what future, if any, there would be for CKY.” This extremely uncomfortable time away from the thing they loved most would allow the band to overcome the many lingering obstacles standing in the way of their greatest effort to date, Carver City, which hits stores May 19. “When we finally got together to resume the sessions, we didn’t talk about the past or what had happened. We didn’t look back. The passion came back blazing, in a distinctly different, effective and inspiring way. Yeah, We took a year off by accident. But, I really think it helped the music greatly.” Thematically, Carver City is part fantasy, part autobiography. This summer, to coincide with the resurgence of CKY and the release of Carver City, Ginsburg, Miller, Margera and Deis will be hitting the road bringing the unique energy and atmosphere that only a CKY show can.
